Established in 2004, RA Consultants is a private, independent firm of engineers, designers, surveyors, and professional construction inspectors working across every aspect of the infrastructure environment. Together we help our clients solve their most complex water and land challenges – turning ideas into tangible reality as we strive to find a better way and shape a new path forward.

JOHN ALLEN

President

John is keenly aware of local issues pertinent to the successful implementation of a wide variety of engineering and funding projects. He possesses significant experience in coordinating project teams and maintaining client contact throughout all phases of projects.

TONY MARCONI

Vice President

Tony has over 20 years of experience in the public and private sectors with experience ranging from planning and design to utility management, operations and maintenance. Prior to joining RA, Tony served as a director in both the operations and engineering divisions at Louisville MSD. Tony brings a unique combination of engineering and operational experience and understands the challenges associated with operating and managing a public utility.

DAN MARTIN

Director of Engineering

Dan has served as project manager for technical designs and collection systems projects including strategic separations, replacement sewers, condition assessments, and pump station improvements. He utilizes project management processes and standards to achieve client expectations within schedule and budget constraints.

KRISTEN GRAU

Cincy Lead / Project Manager

Kristen excels in water infrastructure design and Project Management. Her detail-oriented nature allows her to anticipate potential issues before they arise and work effectively to provide valuable solutions to clients.

RICK DEREMIAH

Senior Engineer

Rick has over 42 years of design experience in the concrete and steel pressure pipe manufacturing industry. His work experience has also included authoring several technical articles, providing forensic expertise to owners with existing concrete pressure pipe, and serving on the American Society of Civil Engineers’ technical committees developing technical manuals.

KATIE MUELLER

Dayton Lead / Project Manager

Katie is intimately familiar with client standards and expectations due to her experience working for various municipalities throughout her career. She is passionate about providing clean, reliable water both locally and internationally.

Chief Surveyor

Chuck is RA’s Chief Surveyor. He is a registered Professional Surveyor in the State of Ohio and the Commonwealth of Kentucky and has over 30 years of experience as a Project Manager for public and private projects.

SEAN CRAIG

Lou Lead / Project Manager

Sean has experience in both the private and public sector. Previously, he led a multitude of engineering and maintenance programs for the LMSD Operations and Collection Systems Department related to sewer inspection, cleaning, maintenance, asset management and Consent Decree activities.

CRAIG CALVERT

Chief Financial Officer

Craig's primary focus is assisting clients in developing, tracking, and improving Key Performance Indicators, organizational goals and metrics using business intelligence tools and industry leading cost accounting practices.

JILL ALLEN

Project Manager

Jill spent 25 years at a public utility both as an Operations Manager/Supervisor and as a Engineering Project Manager. Jill manages RA’s Construction Inspection team and serves as project manager for multiple projects and programs including LMSD – Stormwater Asset Inventory, LMSD – FEMA Public Assistance Projects, and LMSD – Odor Control Inspection Services.

LISA B.WILSON- PLAJER

Business Development Manager

Lisa has worked in Business Development in the A/E industry for 30+ years and is a confident and self-motivated individual that will be focused on growing the business with our management team working on strategic planning, identifying, and projecting opportunities to support our engineering services. She has a strong business network and will carry out research on clients and markets to expand our work in water, wastewater, survey, and federal projects. Reach out to her anytime

GREG BARKER

Survey Manager

Greg has 30 years of experience surveying, with expertise in utility surveys for municipal infrastructure, preparing legal descriptions and easement plats, survey calculations, and courthouse research. He currently serves as President of Board of Directors for the Kentucky Association of Professional Surveyors.
